Donation Information
In
the United States, the Friends of Vidya will
accept US$ donations as well as keep in touch with US Donors,
updating them on how their contributions are being spent.

will
SPONSOR A ROOM in VIDYA's new school building and help take
a child from the slums to the classroom. A plaque with the
name of your corporation/loved one would be prominently
placed in the room you sponsor, as well as the main foyer
of the building. |

will
SPONSOR A DISABLED CHILD for 4 years and give him/her a
fighting chance in life by providing education, physiotherapy
and rehabilitation aids. |
$450 |
to
the Corpus will SPONSOR A CHILD/WOMAN and provide primary
education, health care, nutrition, uniform, books and stationery
for a full 4-year course. |
$230 |
would
employ one underprivileged woman for a year in a production
center, giving her vital skills, helping her to become self
sufficient and even start her own business. |

SPONSOR A CHILD/WOMAN and provide health care, education
and nutrition for one year. |
Small
and voluntary donations for any amount are also welcome, to
provide for all of the above and to sponsor the costs of building
the Bal Vihar permanent school building.
If
you wish your donation to be used for a specific purpose, do
please make note of this when sending your donation. The following
projects could be sponsored:

Bal
Vihar school,
the building of a permanent school for 700 Bal Vihar children,
educating children who would otherwise remain illiterate.

Micro-credit/
Micro-finance program,
enabling more women to lift themselves out of poverty using
monitored repayable loans.

Community
Program, giving
children their first experience of education, preparing them
for entry to mainstream schools. Health camps and check ups
for adults and children. Basic nutrition for the very poorest.

Skill-training
program,
teaching women valuable skills, improving their employment
chances and empowering them.

Production
centers,
giving women meaningful employment, manufacturing a range
of ecologically friendly products for the world market.
